Voters in all Acadiana parishes have races to decide in this Saturday’s election. The Secretary of State says the polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. and urges voters to bring a picture ID to the polls. On Saturday, voters in Lafayette, St. Martin, Iberia and St. Mary parishes will select a new Public Service Commissioner (PSC). The spot was left open when Scott Angelle resigned to become the director of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement. Three candidates are vying to fill Angelle’s spot.
